The Tal live in an area with mountains and valleys. The Tal in the lowlands have churches. The villages in the mountain area are said to have no churches. The area needing churches is remote and hard to reach, accessible only on foot or possibly motorcycle. The Tal area is about a four hour drive from Jos. Many people in the mountain still speak Tal, though some may be bilingual in Hausa. There are Gospel Recordings in both Tal and Hausa.
