For many years my people have followed African traditional practices. It is only in the last 50 years that we have turned to Islam. Some of the other Fulbe call us the "poor Fulas" because of our slave heritage. How can I get rid of this stigma? The only way is through education. I will learn to read, and I will read everything I can find. When I find the truth, I will share it with all those around me. I live in northern Guinea-Bissau, but I heard that there are some other Fulakunda living in Senegal and The Gambia who are learning about Jesus. Perhaps I, too, will hear about Him someday.
